Sorry mate, its cheque only, as we have to account for all the money collected...

Address is on the booking form tegether with all the other info required.

After 4 months of being booked & confirmed, the company who was supplying our showers has just went me this email.

"we are unable to supply this weekend, I have passed your details to lorraine @ Elliott group to contact you as they have units available.
regards "

Now had this reply from Elliots

"I have been send your email from Neal at Site Welfare. We have 4 berth gas showers. The cost per unit is ?550.00 plus ?150.00 transport cost. All prices are subject to vat

This is nearly twice what we had been quoted for the supply originally, which was ?400 + vat.

I am now currently trying to get hold of another supplier for these showers which we can afford, and will keep you all informed of the progress.

It won't help your shower problem Rolfy, but looks like I'll have to pull out of the Cosford tour & a small amount of the overnight silliness thanks to working the full weekend. Work is only just down the road from Bridgnorth though, so camping overnight's still on.

Good luck sorting it out & let me know if you need any help with anything - the venue's only half an hour or less from me, and my days off are now midweek rather than weekends.

Well, after nearly an hour on the phone, I have managed to source another shower unit form a company just south of Worcester...

The cost is a little more @ ?500 + vat, but includes the gas bottle needed to run the shower... But this is a trailer unit, and not one of the portaloo plastic type...

I have had to book it, as it is getting close now, and we dont want any hassles.Hope this is OK with you guys.

Hopefully, we should have the money in the kitty to pay the extra for this unit.

I will keep you informed of any changes/ adjustments...

Still feel very aggreived at the attitude of the other hire operators after a firm & confimed booking.. :mad:

no one is coming now, as I have spent all the money on my carribean cruise for next year & everything is now cancelled...h1d1ng2

I will try to put a list up when the end of booking time comes (at the end of the month), if thats OK.

Currently, we have

60 UK contingent
3 from Sweden
6 from Denmark
4 from belgium
2 from Holland
+ 10 others who have verbally promised to attend, but as yet have not sent booking form & payments in.

Sorry to hear about the showers :bang: . But :bow: for getting an alternative set up. You might just have to charge us a quid for using them though!
