Had a few soakings courtesy of the BBC weather, including one abandoned trip due to a blizzard when BBC Weather said sunshine.

Now use Metcheck

I used to use Metcheck but I checked the weather report for the Eosb last september & according to them it was going to be brilliant sunshine for the whole weekend but it pissed down non stop I have been caught out a few times with them but never again.

We have a member of the Thunderace list who is a weatherman with the US Air Force. Now given that they have a rather large amount of equipment at hand to get the forecasting correct he predicted that the 2002 MotoGP at Donningshite was going to be washed out and we were idiots for even contemplating camping.

It rained a bit on the Thursday but that weekend the St Johns Ambulance treated more people for sunburn than anything else...

Its a guessing game mate so just use the seaweed and pine cone...

There used to be a guy called bill Foggit on Yorkshire Television who could forecast the weather better than any high tech weather station. not seen him for years probably died.
