It is with great shock that I heard the news today of the death of Micheal 'beef' Park on the rally GB. Micheal was co-driver to Markko Martin in the peugeot works 307. The pair hit a tree on this mornings stage 15, with Beef being pronounced dead at the scene.

Micheal was co-driving in the early nineties on road rallies and indeed we competed against each other in the lanes.

This brings back memories of loosing my best mate on the rally of Turkey last year.

My deepest sympathy goes to Beef's wife and two children. Rallying lost another true gentleman today :dunno:

being heavily into rallying my self i knew him pretty well, dont ask me what he looked like with his helmet offas i couldn't tell ya

I was watching a bit of it on the box earlier and was suprised at just how many were hitting piles of logs, crashing 10 metres down hillsides etc........
