I too will say I complied with the

As did my workplace.

The nearest I got to not following the requirements was going shopping on the bike and not using the most direct route there and back.

I was unable to attend the funeral of a work colleague nor could I visit my elderly parents (not part of their "bubble").

Anyone who tries to claim that any part of a workplace gathering for almost any reason (never mind a leaving do or Christmas, or especially the regular Friday drinkies) was OK is a downright liar.

Workplaces were required to identify maximum numbers per room (post them on the door) using information obtained from government website guidance.
I too missed the funeral of one if my best mates. Heartbreaking.

RIP Dave :Saeufer:

I can honestly say I broke the rules as the rules in place made no sense.
Emma & I had to work as key workers, on the days Emma was working she was supposed to send the kids to School or a child minder instead they came to ours, we got a knock on the door from two police Officers the Police woman was getting quite aggressive & tried to bully us, I calmly said “you expect my daughter to take the kids to School where they’ll mix with other children who have parents & siblings who may be covid positive or you expect her to leave them with a stranger who could have covid as could any of her charges?” She responded with “well it’s the law & you’ve got to comply with the law” Bev said “well arrest us then & we’ll fight this stupid law, just then Emma turned up for the kids & picked up on the gist, Emma asked the Police woman “do you have kids?” She replied “yes” Emma asked “so where are your kids now & when you work late?” The policewoman said “I have to make provisions” Emma asked “who has your kids now?” The copper started tripping on her words then virtually admitted that her extended family were looking after her kids.

I stayed within the guidelines. Sort of. I went out daily with miss Molly for her exercise as that was allowed. I also drove out to my sister’s place to check up on her and run Molly. with her dogs of course, as her partner was in lockdown himself in New Zealand and couldn’t get home for many months.

I too followed all the rules, instructions and orders.....but then again, I'm ex-Forces and professionally trained to do what I'm told by clueless wankers in higher authority.

When you read the various comments on here I think you see that most did follow the rules with small variations when the rules maybe weren't logical.

What you don't see is folks thinking they could what they want and throwing parties etc!

I found out today that a colleague has covid, so she has cancelled her holiday that she had booked for this week and is going to go to work apparently the boss has said that's OK as long as she wears a mask, I won't be going anywhere near her.

During the lock down I obeyed the rules, but then I worked through out it

Well, I admit to knowingly breaking the rules once. It was Ma P's 70th birthday during the first lockdown in spring 2020 and no way, as in no f'ing way, was I not going to see my mum on her birthday.

I was sensible; we both wore masks and we maintained the minimum two metres safe distance.

But I still broke the rules on that one occasion and I'm ok with it. I had no shits to give what anyone else said or thought at the material time and I have even less now.
