went to a funeral, bike mate of mine , ex driver here.

went on the bird no biggy but the bikes were asked to lead the hearse.

follow it yes have done that before but to lead it??

anyways we did lead it, nice small group of bikes showing our mate the way to his burn up. And a nice off the limiter when we arrived.

No hymns no praying just bat out of hell, loads of laughs and ave maria :-0)

curtain started to close and the good the bad and the ugly started up.:-0):-0)

wake is tonight, good funeral, and def the way he would want to go with us laughing at him.

I was a committee member of a bike club (not mcc) in sa and we always used to ride in front of the hearse..family member first(if a biker) if not the club leader with a big black flag. The committee members broke off at intersections to stop traffic and ensure the hearse does not come to a stop. Non club members rode behind the procession. All the bikes would have a black piece of cloth tied to the right handle bar. All and all found bike funerals very "beautiful"

Last one I attended we were invited to the friends favourite pub where we all had his favourite drink as a cheers then we got pissed and just spent the night reminiscing old times.

This was the friend and ironically he died on a blackbird:

Yeah I'm a universalist minister, (2 Years) and I wanna do a biker service, would love that. Keep me in mind and will travel. They a great services, personal music and life of the deceased, how it should be, a celebration of their life.;-0))
