Just had the front tyre on the ST1300 changed ( it was Just legal!).

The Angel ST that was on it had done 8558 miles!

Not bad at all for a big heavy bike.

Now got an Avon 3d on. Feels really nice and grippy already.

That is all.

It'll be interesting to see how you go on them. I know it's a different bike and we all have our preferences but I put the 3DXMs on my bird this summer and even though they are well and truelly bedded in, with a good couple of thou on them, they just don't give me the same level of confidence as the BT023GTs I had on before. They never seem to warm up very well and no matter how progressive I I ride they always feel cold - not that they've broken away from underneath me in a bend or anything. Perhaps it's just the make up of the compound but guess this winter will be the real test, as staying up in the wet is more important to me than sticky tyres.

Come on you Hatters
Worst tyres iv'e had on my pan in the four years I've had it Steve!! Made it very very unstable on motorways etc. Soon to go back to Pilot Road3's, never had any such issues with them. Gary says they're developing a Pan specific tyre, but it won't be out for a couple of years.
