As the saying goes, there is often a first time for everything.

On Monday I will be lecturing (university term apparently ;) ) to the Forensic science undergraduates at Bournemouth University about my role as an expert in motorcycle crash investigation.

Most of the students are training to become CSi's and the like and so it is relevant to what they are learning.

It will be as interesting for me as I hope it is for them.

There comes a time in life where experience should be passed on.

Can be very rewarding

I was asked to do a series at night for auctioneers already in practice on construction, to get institute membership.
(I learned a bit myself)

10 lectures 8 + 2 revision.
Can we do all the revision week 9 and not come in week 10:D:D:D

Will this be in the exam??
Expanding knowledge wasn't their priority.

They became students again - all ages.

Unless you are trying to pass on almost 38 years worth of experience to kids with 8 weeks in the job who think they already know everything about the job & life in general.

How did it go TC?

It went very well thank you for asking.

There were about 50 students in the audience.

The talk was well received and a few of the students came up afterwards to thank me for explaining the role and requirements of being an expert witness, many were scribbling away and making notes throughout.

Afterwards I got the guided tour of their crime scene house (imressive) and the forensic science facilities. Very lifelike and a great teaching aid.

They want me to go back 2 or 3 times a year to talk to other students on the forensic science and law courses on an ongoing basis, so I must have done something right ;)

I have to go talk to prospective victims about my heart procedure at end of the month. That should be interesting.
