Now the colder weather is with us we can expect to encounter an increasing number of micro climates.
What are they I hear you ask - well they can occur in all manner of places where you have a temperature differential.
Under bridges where areas remain in shadow - not letting the sun warm up and dry the surface beneath - what may appear to be a great stretch of road may well become a treacherous slipper patch waiting to catch you out.
Overhanging trees is another - and not only with leaves dropping down to add to our riding excitement.
Even dips or valleys where mist and/or colder air is present.
So look out especially where shadows occur or areas of shade abound.
