i've not had a bird long,in fact it was a salvage bike(nov 2001) so its took a couple of months to sort out. anyway i took it for a bit of a burn on the motorway and its 'king quick,i love the way it don't stop pulling i've got a bandit 12 too and thats not slow but when you get to 90 it wants to rip your head off.the point is i've read the speedo's a bit out but by how much i'm sure i wasn't doin a ton 50 that quick from 80,i know its fast just didn't feel that fast its an old plod bike so shouldn't the speedo be calibrated or something,it was dark so it may have seemed slow coz of that

one other thing,i've been quoted about 600 quid for a full respray(candy blue)
no dents but lots of small scratches on tank and fairing/mirrors but not deep,top fairing & mudguard are diffrent colours but very good nic seat unit is ok but thought i'd get it back to its former glory so am i out of touch or is that a piss take

i'll just sit hear waiting for the abuse to start then!!!!!

Use Ebay to get a complete set of plastics in ANY colours.

Once you have a complete set get them all painted together so that all the bits are a perfect match to each other.

Then sell your entire old kit on ebay and get almost all of your lolly back.

Yes, I do have a man who does all my spray work.. a guy who is well known and highly recomended by a great deal of members on here

The speedo does over-read by a large %... About 12 to 15%....

You can buy a "Speedo Healer" off the internet (about 90 Quid) or ask Jaws to get you one.

I fitted one to my bike - and after programming it, my speedo is now 100% accurate with my GPS unit.
