One evening at work we were being given the benefit of a colleague’s wisdom regarding all vehicles motorised, mention a car & he would reply “yes I had/drove/knew someone who had one.
Another colleague who went by the name of John Lindley, took a deep draw on his pipe & said “nah then Eric, has tha ever driven a Loxley lozenge?” Eric replied “ yes, it was about 1974 & I was co driver in a vintage car rally & it was my mate’s car, he drove it to Brighton & I drove it back, very nippy for it’s age” at this point John’s face creased up & he burst out laughing, I couldn't hold it back & burst out laughing” Eric couldn’t understand what we were laughing at & the more he tried to convince us the more we laughed.
