My Birdy is broken down at the moment, went for a ride around Ribblehead and Settle etc on New Years Eve (in the day time:rolleyes:) got home then gave it a good clean in readiness for going over it the following day prior to its MOT later in the month.
New years day I went to start it and it was 100% dead, no click or flicker nowt, maybe a stray fire work had blown up the ecu in the night (numerous terminal scenarios went through my mind) eventually disconnected the 3 pin plug to the ignition and hot wired it and it fired instantly.

Today I was in the garage at 7:00am and re assembled the electrical gubbins of the ignition switch after having had the main red wire re soldered back onto it. Had intended finishing the job but my heart wasn't in it as we were to look after our recently arrived grand child for the 1st time today, besides which it was chucking it down too.
But was still a good day:D(y)
Trust me, for each day looking after a grand child you need to multiply it by a factor of three to include recovery time.

That increases to a factor of five once they start crawling, and eight when they start walking.

Still kickin' it!
Well! The exercise seems to have served its purpose! :coti:

Now that we have a reference point, I’ll re-name this “The Off-topic” thread and start a new
“How Was Your Day”. Thanks to everyone who posted comments on here, though– keep ‘em coming! (y)

Err yes ;) Saturday rush hour from the other side of Liverpool to Nuneaton where I used to live a distance of 114 miles, then 30 each way the next day which involved going through the centre of Coventry to pick up the new clutch

Just saying I would have ridden it :D

My golf partner for tomorrow has cried off sick so it looks like I may spend the day digging out the foundations for the new fish pond.

Do imaginary friends cry off sick?

Get yer huge, bloated body up to Norf Wales, it's nearerer to us.

Ponderosa meet sometime?
Huge, bloated, body? I’m a 34” waist, ya cheeky bastard! Not exactly commensurate with huge and bloated when one is over six feets tall.

However, I might well take you up on your rude offer, even though it’s fookin’ miles away

Foundations, is that Seaford speak for hole?
No.

Foundations for a raised pond.

A hole is for a pond at and below ground level.

I have to explain even the simplest thing on here.

If you want it to last, have a word with a local glassfibre company & get it laminated rather than use a liner that WILL leak eventually, ponds & small roofs are usually done as a quick Saturday morning job for pocket money ( cash of course)

Raised donates some kind of wall which require foundations which are below ground or they are not foundations & that means digging as you mentioned in post 45 digging means making a hole :p

just saying :D

I had one of the original 600's. It was a completely forgettable bike with no redeemable features. Kind of a spiritual successor to the 250 Superdream and the Dream Twin.....with similar performance.

So Diversion was quite an apt name, when riding them, you wished you'd gone in a different direction! :D

Always called a perversion in this neck of the woods, the 900 is actually a pretty decent bike if you want to get anywhere in comfort with minimal fuss, my mates has 87,000 on it, while its a bit rough round the edges it still runs like clockwork, in fact he's off on it again down through france to spain in a couple of months

The best you can say about the 600 is its cheap transport
