i know its got feckall to do with the bird but a friend bought a race prepared r6 in carlisle the other day and asked me if i'd drive him down to collect it, of course says i but im riding it back! WHAT A HOOT, the gear box was as clunky as a clunky thing (unless i was revving its arse off) which happened to be the only way i could make it move in first :)dunno: wtftaa then) it coughed and burped all around the one way system, and i stalled it two or ten times, then i hit the motorway JEEZ! it nearly ripped my arms out of the sockets (right up to 70 mph of course)
im now even more humbled in front of those track day gods, i left my skill and ability trailing behind me in 3rd gear:cry: the slightest movement of the handlebars had the machine jumping out of my hands and swerving in the direction that i'd chose! and the smallest of changes in road surface was transfered through to my sweaty palms causing me to imagine all sorts of mechanical mishaps.
it twitched away beneath me like a crack addict on his 5th day cold turkey and really only complained when i tried to ride it like a sensible person.
i realize that the bike (a w reg) wont be anywhere near the type of missile that the likes of dirty sanchez will be using but what a rush, i wish i had the wad to afford throwing something like that down the road at a track day.
