Suspension Adjustability

Hello to all,

I have an '02 XX, bought 6 weeks ago and just passed 3,000 miles - about 7/8 commute and 1/8 canyons.

My model is a california version USA model.

In the brochure and on the Honda website, Honda claims full adjustability to front and rear.

I realize that i can adjust rebound rear with a flathead screwdriver.

but how the heck, do i adjust rear preload and front rebound and preload? under inspection i can see the shock has kind of a screw on look.

are these only dealer serviced things? how do i go the dealer get it adjusted, ride 1,000 miles, return to the dealer, adjust again, ride again, adjust again, etc.. .without me going broke and the dealer getting rich?

or is this the plan?
