sky are after illicit users now - many of their transmissions, particularly live sport, temporarily display a nine digit number in the top right corner; they can identify the source of the original subscription/transmission from that and are actively cancelling subscriptions and taking legal action. That has hit the pub and club trade hard as they are now having to pay for the product which is much more expensive than a domestic subscription. I have a mate in Manchester who has a dodgy box (matron) that now displays a blank screen….
Until a couple of years ago I and others were able to stream live football from other countries - I have Sky internet and they have blocked all this.

We have had one of those for a few years. works ok..........
When ( if ) we ever upgrade the spare room to a smart tely it can be retired
But to suggest stuff like Netflex etc is free using it is indeed snake oil !
