scruffy i use the road plenty and have seen plod eating donuts around gatehouse of fleet and the long straight up to newton stewart! both stretches of road are long and straight as an arrow, very tempting but a definate nono:yo:

Is that where the is a lovely bit of new road and as your come over the crest of the hill the plod are parked about half a mile ahead on a side road at the bottom of the hill using the radar even in the dark. I can picture the bit I mean but not great at describing it!

bang on bill! lovely new stretch of runway with no real surprises (you can see for miles) but dont nibble the treath1d1ng2 you'll just have to settle for free wheeling

Thank you lots and lots for the help (and laughs!!!:yo: ) Might try scotland, just an awful long way from Cider country! But the bacon butty sounds good :} I kind of thought the Holyhead Dublin looked good, but wasn't sure. Will be in contact Centaur if I go that way.

Freebird - I'd love to go back to the NW200 (only been once but without the bike!), but as I leave for the TT the following friday I don't think I can afford it - and the TT has been booked for a year (again!!! Its now my 'summer' holiday!!:yo: ) - so UGP it is!! But I will look at Stranraer, it's just the thought of driving all the way to Scotland putting me off - I'm going on my own, so apart from police (although I'll try not to speed!!!) it'll be a bit lonely for a long drive!!!!!

The Holyhead - Dublin Irish fast ferry means you can avoid the hastle of fighting your way through Dublin and only takes 99 minutes. I live about 3 miles from Holyhead so it goes without saying that a brew and butty are on offer.
