Screw wanted

Now that I have your attention, I need one pan head screw m6 x 11 for where the right side fairing heat guard meets the frame.
I have no idea where mine has gone.
I've put a roofing bolt in it as a temp fix.
Can one of you kind gents point me in the right direction for a suitable replacement?

Thanks in advance

one of the stepped screws? Big headed ones. I may have one but don't quite understand which one you need.

I would say it is the plain one ( no dimples ) that is directly above the clutch cover and not shown in that picture..
Yes ?

Why did someone spoil the look of a nice black one by sticking yellow numbers on it ??

It will fit but not properly Ian.
The shoulder part is shallower on the plain bolts ( as in no dimples ) to better secure the plastic

First things first. I can't thank you folks enough. I ask a simple question and you all pitch in with sensible help.

Unfortunately, as John and Andy suggest, It's number 7 that I need. The one above the clutch cover. I'm not sure if its stepped or not.

I have fitted Jaws shrooms, so I have two spare number 4's, if they will really do the job?

I see from the links that Noobie added, that the ones available are longer than the 11mm stated on the parts list I have. Has anyone ever cut one to shorten it? is it necessary? Any advice on this would help.

Either way, thanks again folks

Yes the other ones will fit.. As mentioned above though the should is slightly deeper ( same as all the dimpled ones ) but it is very common for folk to get them muddled up..
Usually they fit the dimpled ones in there and use the plain ones at the bottom of the V piece in the front..
No one has ever fell off or damaged owt by doing it ( 8rfl@ ;-0)) ) so as long as the head diameter is not too big to go in the limited space all will be well.

Bin the shrooms and it's one of the smaller heads you need with a rubber washer under, or an M6 pan head or button headed screw instead of a coach bolt. The larger headed ones will fit with rubber washer under or simply turn the step down.

Clueless in most things
I think John's mentioned elsewhere, that the bolt I need is the same as the two bolts on the lower part of the v piece of the fairing behind the front wheel

Thanks. The bolt that's in as a temporary is what I know as a roofing bolt. It's pan head shape with a large cross head that takes a large flat screwdriver. The type that comes with square nuts (oo'er mrs).

I'll have a look at the ones from the shrooms to see what I think.

A quick question Lumpy. Are the bolts on your picture black?

No they aint mate.. They SHOULD have a slightly shorter shoulder and they do not have dimples. They are similar but not the same
