Important game on ch4 at 5pm, England u21’s v Spain.
Annoyingly just as the cricket is to start after rain all, dayImportant game on ch4 at 5pm, England u21’s v Spain.
I really have no idea.Ok Andy, tell me how spain were awarded a penalty? The player went down & play carried on for several minutes, what happened with the incident was too far back to check?
Neither do ref’sI really have no idea.
Mainly as I haven’t watched it yet.
But from your comment you don’t understand how VAR works.
He won't have watched it either.I really have no idea.

The VAR process for the penalty was spot on.Watched it & thought the quality of finishing was poor, Spanish were nasty, ref was below average & var as always was shite
I am not disputing the actual penalty, I am questioning the length of time it took for var to get involved bearing in mind when the Leeds game I refer to the incident was deemed too far back to be scrutinised by var.The VAR process for the penalty was spot on.
The penalty decision in my opinion was correct, just unlucky for the defender.
More to the point in my opinion the penalty should have been retaken as the keeper was well off his line before the ball was struck.
All potential penalty incidents will be reviewed by VAR whether given or not. If the referee has not given a penalty in play and VAR think it should be reviewed by the referee it will be done in the next break in play, In the last women’s World Cup there was a possible penalty incident, the other team went down the other end and scored….goal disallowed and penalty given. In this years FA Cup final a VAR review of a potential penalty incident was undertaken at the next break in play.I am not disputing the actual penalty, I am questioning the length of time it took for var to get involved bearing in mind when the Leeds game I refer to the incident was deemed too far back to be scrutinised by var.
There were many instances last season where keepers were off their line but the penalties weren’t retaken.
‘Different phase of play” (my words) applies. From memory only potential penalties and ‘red card’ offences are not time barred. Hard to believe someone went past Firpo…Can’t recall who we were playing but the opposition player handballed & took the ball past Firpo well into Leeds half, he ran on & crossed & the striker scored, replays showed a clear hand ball but var refused to view the incident saying it happened too far back to have an affect on the outcome
Is, deliberate handball not a possible red card offence?‘Different phase of play” (my words) applies. From memory only potential penalties and ‘red card’ offences are not time barred. Hard to believe someone went past Firpo…
I see you have lost your Koch as well.
Yes, but only if denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity. Is, deliberate handball not a possible red card offence?
Firpo when played in his right position can turn in a motm performance, Koch won’t be missed, Wober says he’s staying & we’ve got Drameh & Cresswell who should be playing more, Dallas should also be back after his nasty injury but remains to be seen if he can get back to greatness
What about gaining an advantage resulting in a goal?Yes, but only if denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
Nope. What about gaining an advantage resulting in a goal?
Well it should be.Nope.
Well it isn’t.Well it should be.
