Pleased to hear

the good news Kit.
Our youngest son, Gareth (18) had some facial reconstruction in July.
He had his upper jaw broken, scaffolding and screws put in to bring his jaw forward by 1.5 cm. He is as right as ninepence now.
I know it's easy to say "don't worry" Kit, but there are dedicated, professional, skilled and caring people in the NHS.
The pain you are going through will be no less than Clive's pain, just different.
Clive is in good hands, just make sure that you have somebody to look after you because Clive will be more concerned about you than himself.

Something in the air

or something... on the way into work yesterday saw a prang between a scooter and a car... straightforward enough, but on the way home after wurgh found myself amongst some raceboy commuters on 600's. They were burning up the road at traffic lights... Fair enough... (I was tempted to join in but I had me bird on me bird). It was an R6 and a Blade most of the way and so far so good fun. Then some bloke on a zx600 joins in. Outside Stockwell tube station going towards Clapham they all take off, followed by me and.... ahem .... a bunch of scooters. Suddenly there's that all too familiar sound of plastic on tarmac. The Zx riders sliding down the road chasing his bike which is pissing petrol and leaving a trail of sparks. :eek: There's a pedestrian curled up on the white lines screaming and moaning. Some of the scooters went into the carnage and others into each other trying to avoid it. I stopped. Feck me the rozzers are already there!! What happened? They had been questioning someone who suddenly ran accross the traffic straight into the burn up.
:bang::bang::bang:

Seems to be the (winter) season for it... Just can't be too careful.

Great news Kit

Jennie and I are about to head off for the weekend and we can now do it feeling a lot better about life. Tough as old boots, your fella. Give him our love and tell him he'll have to give his suspension a bit of a tweak with all that extra metal on board:} :}

Much love to you too:k

Fantastic news

Glad to hear Clive is well enough to get a nicotine fix - being battered by tarmac and the Armco is one thing, but withdrawal symptoms on top of that must be sheer hell!

I can't imagine Clive any thinner - although presumably he's still on a drip etc and so probably won't improve until he's eating properly again. Talking of which, do take care of yourself Kit; having your nearest and dearest in hospital is a sure fire way of YOU losing weight as well and whilst most of us could do with it, you ain't exactly obese yourself!

Pete says Fodder had the best idea - liquidised bacon butties!

Love to both of you

Hiya Kit darling,

Your words telling of Clives improvement continue to make us smile...

Its wonderful news to hear he is getting better by the day... Must admit to thinking he cant get any thinner though.... But as long as Clive continues to improve, thats fine by us...

I echo Trophychaps words about yourself... Dont forget about looking after yourself.. At times like these you need it as much as Clive will.. SO dont treat yourself short... or you will have to answer to us afterwards:t ..

Look after both of yourselves, and we will see you soon,

Loads of love,

Dave & Jan
