Emma emailed a campsite in Llandudno to see if they had any spaces on Monday, got an email back immediately stating they had spaces, she then emailed asking how much for a folding camper for Monday till Friday, immediate email back with prices, she then emailed asking if there was a space away from the main crowd as her son has ADHD, Tourettes & OCD, that was nine hours ago & still no response.

I would't have said why.

Years ago my then wife and I spent a fortnight camping around the Highlands. On our last night we booked at a caravan/motorhome/campsite near Stirling.
When we pulled up at reception the receptionist asked us if we had a caravan (she could clearly see the caravanless battered old Volvo estate we arrived in).
We're camping, we told her.
Oh, well, um...we might have room for you. Eventually she gave us the number of our pitch and off we went, passing caravans and motorhomes, but no tents. Eventually we found our spot and it was right at the far end and as far as you could get from the main facilities.
Between our pitch and reception, at the other end, the site was half empty. Everyone else had a pitch at the facilities end of the site.
I went back to ask to be moved closer, but she refused as they were expecting a large group of vehicles in late and we might be disturbed.
Come morning the site had no more vehicles in than there were the night before.

Around 1978 I was heading for ferry in Pembroke or Fishguard.

I stopped at a garage, don't remeber if I got petrol, but I got a can of oil. The forecourt was empty.
I was about top up the oil when the owner came over and told me to move out of the way in case a customer came in.....

I could never understand why at Exeter Race course caravans and motorhomes which had built in facilities were near the toilets etc and tents were furthest away
