Ok I have
AA European Breakdown Recovery with my Carole Nash Policy.
Following my
unfortunate incident last month I ended up with a hire car for a week and the bike came home about 3 weeks later on the back of a lorry.
The policy itself either:
1) Pays for a hotel if the bike can be repaired within 8 hrs (I think it is)
2) a hire car to complete your holiday or
3) Flight or rail ticket home
or as the
AA's website puts it:
24/7 English-speaking helpline and translation service
Roadside assistance or towing to the nearest garage after a breakdown or accident
Vehicle recovery back to the UK or onwards to your destination (if cheaper)
Cover for vehicles of any age
Up to £1,200 for car hire, flights and public transport
Up to £500 for emergency accommodation
And can I say a bloody big thumbs up to them @tu*
Oh and sort of on topic can I jjust add make sure you keep cash on yo for petrol, not all the automated petrol stations recognise UK issued cards (had problems with both my Visa debit & Mastercard credit). Q8 was about the only chain that reliably recognised them
