Looking around but its hit and miss finding the odd pic of screens on the blackbird. Unless theres an easy way of doing it.

Any chance of anyone with a non standard screen posting a pic in here at all?

I'm looking for a different screen , maybe an mra , i'm not sure. Probably a black screen on the red bike.

cheers.

That's no excuse for not cleaning it though............

I have the Ffabbri screen as well and find it's great.

Mines smoked though and I did have to extend the black painted bit at the bottom up to prevent the instrument shroud melting!! Fine now though.

Ah yes, well, I find the 'used look' adds the the show of speed on the black one.
And we do have a water shortage, and I have got a knackered knee, and I am a lazy bastid..

I will get it done in the mornin, when it stops pi$$ing down... honest. h1d1ng2

Murt, DnD, how tall are you both and have you altered the riding position on your bikes?

Reason for asking (and apologies for hijacking a bit) is I have a pyramid d/bubble which is great unless I move my head! Even the slightest movement to one side provokes full on wind blast.

My own fault for being 6ft and having a big noggin' I suppose...
Anyway, I had a Ffabbri on my blade and have been wondering if I should try one on the Bird.

:dunno:

Lebowski,

I'm about 5'6" and the riding position is all standard, no changes.

My position alters as the speed increases.......R#?

As the speed picks up I simply start to tuck my elbows in a little, which brings the shoulders down and forward.

As I've not experienced any other type of screen I can't really say what it's like compared to others.

I'm happy with it though.

I'm 5'9 1/2" ( It's a very important 1/2" )..
Same as D&D, No changes to saddle or pegs, I just duck down a bit when I reach warp 1.
Wind just clips the top of my lid.

Here ya go, MRA vario.

I'm 6ft 1 ish and find the mra vario excellent in any position, no helmet wobble  at warp speed  , the aerofoil top has a 7 position adjustment which should accomodate most riders and can be altered for high speed motorway stuff down to whatever else, even folding down almost flat with the main screen so it's hardly noticeable. I have tried the stock screen, then the Ffabri which is the glazed one in the piccy, then an MRA double bubble fl4g71 before I changed to the MRA Vario. I'll stick with the vario thanks. I know some others have them fitted as well. :yo:
