Only Honda Could......

Had a quick flick through the latest Ride magazine this morning..
Took all of 50 seconds..nothing remotely of interest to me ,until I
happened upon the letters page. There was an amusing letter from I presume a Goldwing
owner complaining about the up and coming Goldwing replacement model,
Apparently the new model has a smaller fuel tank and a third less luggage space !!
Exactly how you improve a touring bike...I mean a shorter range and less carrying capacity
Only Honda could do this. They seem to excel at not giving people what they want ,but do give
them what Honda says they should have.

Clueless in most things
You would have thought they would have learned from the vfr 1200

Still making their best bike ever though...now past 100m sold.....

But made a similar mistake when they stopped making this....

By replacing it with something faster, more, comfortable, quieter, more fuel efficient..........but without the soul

Come on you Hatters

You’d have thought they’d learned from the Firestorm before the VFR!!
They’re only interested in mass production models these days, like CG125’s that they sell millions of all over the world. No interest in making flagship class leading bikes anymore. Just about every other manufacturer trumps them these days.

Honda built 85,138 Blackbirds and probably didn't make any money on them.

Honda have built 1m + Cubs and probably made a fortune on them.

Simple economics. Unfortunately.

As an important aside, just been looking at prices out of interest for the original NSX a half decent one seems to start at a staggering £45k.

I helped a buddy strip one out to use as a track car (excellent:)) in about 1998 - he paid £8500 for it from memory.

Another 'if only I had known then what I know now' moment.:aaaaa:

Very much like a Blackbird. - the front is nice, the rear is hideous.

Nice colour though......

I always thought the coupe version was a cracking little car. Kind of Beemers answer to the Scimitar.
The blue ones are especially nice as they're a good match for the blue used on Blackbirds.

When I first started looking at buying a Z3M coupe a handful of years ago it was possible to find sub 100k milers for around £10k.....now the same cars are more like £30k and upwards. :(

Bonkers innit! Proper useless in the snow though, zero traction.
If I squint on a dark night my 340 touring reminds me of it,..
