I have just done a video on bike on the A32/272 in Hampshire

word of advice if ya didn't already know, but the A32 is used for police high speed pursuit trainning, mainly using unmarked cars.

The A272 is a personal favorite of mine, however beware of the eye in the sky and those white squares ya sometimes see in the road :B

I tend to use the Meon Hut to Petersfield run instead of the Winchester side because it has a better profile for me. I also use the Petersfield to Midhurst bit too.
o

With you on that m8, although I tend to ride the A272 all the way from Heathfield (Sussex) through Cowfold, Wisborough Green, Petworth, Midhurst and then Meon Hut (hence the stupid mileages I do!)

At Petworth, try (if you already haven't) the A285 towards Duncton and just keep going 'till you pick up the signs for Goodwood :yo: You'll have to ride it nice and early though to avoid the cagers :}

Re:videos. The one's that I've seen and
/or have put together never seem to do the ride justice, so I've stopped doing them. Although I've got a DVD titled Mach 2 (Busa, Bird and ZX12R tear up through France) which has some good sections.

he also said when he done it the driver was a 19 year old blonde bird:eek: who was slagging off the riders to get out of the way cos the car was that quick:eek:

Oh yes !

Believe it when I say these girls who drive the "Ring Taxis" know how to handle the cars. It's like being strapped into an aircraft and catapulted off a carrier. Repeatedly.

If you get the chance to try it, do it, you'll not be sorry !

Can we confirm ..........

Checked schedules and looks ok for now, but we'll have to review nearer date as schedules can change at late notice. Propose we leave Friday afternoon, Eurotunnell over to Calais, then 3 hour blat down to the N'ring. B&B accomodation Friday and Saturday night followed by return on Sunday :dunno:

Is this Nurburgring get together confirmed for the 2/3 August, cos obviously travel arrangements need to be confirmed, as do hotel bookings, hospital beds, AA recovery, flights home etc etc etc

You planning a spectacular dismount then?
In principle yes, but I'm reluctant to book anything 'till mid July 'cos as you know the ring schedule could change at very short notice. Also, all being well, will have new bike by 2nd week in July, so gotta get it run in & serviced b4 the Ring run! Would it cause ya a problem if we left the booking up 'till July?

But there's always scope for a Ring virgin to fook up, and when they do, it's usually spectacular :t !!! and as I don't plan on falling off at the Ring, I go my own pace, and don't get pulled into any "racing".

Leaving booking until July will not cause any problems as far as the Ring goes, it's just that I book my weekend trips to see SWMBO(EWIWS) well in advance to get the cheap flights, and obviously want to make sure that I'm in Germany that weekend, and not in England. So if the Ring date changed at the last minute, I may not be in Germany that weekend, if you follow me.

mike.
