My Tribute Cobra build

Had a day at Beaulieu, with the Simply BMW owners group (I know …. Mines NOT really a BMW anymore)
I was made welcome by everyone and a couple of other similarly kitted our cars were present
Some amazing cars there, Not just the Ones in the museum !
And the Top Gear exhibition was quite good too!
(Especially the small video tribute to Eddie Kidd …. If you ever get to see that particular show, your eyes may sweat a bit !)
Being a bit self indulgent I added a couple of pics

It’s been a while …. So a little update
MOT this year was a challenge …. The engine decided to run rough 5 minutes before the MOT
The garage found a split hose on the intake and then it passed the test easily
But accelerator stopped working so I couldn’t get it back in time for my boys prom :-(
Took quite a while to find the issue ….. they kept getting different error codes …. Replacing the part it suggested and that made no difference !
All the new parts were returned and a MAF filter was tried …. And it worked perfectly !!
it’s in a garage at the moment getting a sportier exhaust and fake sidepipes fitted

OK, not REAL ones ( Thrush ) but bloody nice any way
These are Patriot sidepipes 50” long 3” tube…. A modern version of the 70’s/80’s Thrush pipes !OK, not REAL ones ( Thrush ) but bloody nice any way
They are real Sidepipes But …. As you say they are set up as ‘fake’ …. The unsilenced noise exits very near the sidepipes thoneed to spray a little Matt black paint into the outlet to look even more like fully working pipes
Simple BMW owners is tautology.
There were no indicators to be seen !!!
All the hard work has reaped its rewards !!
