Gave up on MP3's - converted everything to WMA using DBPowerAmp - whilst backing up my 20GB Zen to the network - easily 'Skypable'

thing is, moods change as do likes and dislikes, I find if I'm listening to a record that I'm not too happy about now, I try and remember what I was doing when I decided originally that I liked the record!! (does that make sense??) just seems to bring it all back, notice you've no ZZ Top :t I like most of their older "blues" stuff, trouble is they went "mainstream" big time :bang:

they are in the rest of the stuff i have yet to look at think i have 1 or 2 of their albums somewhere, led zep is there as well, stones, beatles, smiths, cult, cure, dropkicks, blues shit loads of again another 40 + albums somewhere, small faces, kinks, who, greenday all there somewhere!!!

I also have a smallish music collection...... Roughly 13,000 songs by loads of artists....

I have been struggling to get it all sorted and have only done about 8,000 songs so far. I have a load of mainstream stuff, such as all of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, U2 etc.... as well as loads of pants stuff.

Like you said Ian - moods change from time to time, so it's best to keep the stuff just in case. Besides, I also do live events, such as air shows etc. where I provide the PA, music and microphones as well as do the MC work as well.

Y'know - between Marcella, Wolfie, myself (and probably loads of other Members) we probably have a stunning music collection. I wonder how easy it would be to buy a bit of web space to upload & download songs between ourselves as Bird members? My Limewire doesn't work at work coz the Japs block it, but Samster's idea of Skyping it to each other is pretty good :yo:

Also - don't you find that you only listen to about 1% of your total collection?
