Bit of a ride out from Liverpool? - Shady Petrel at Tern Hill, past Whitchurch and keep going - about 30 miles from Chester. Thursday Night is Bikers night.
Not sure about the Tap, went last week one evening - can't remember what night - only about 5-6 bikes outside. I only live about 5 miles from the Tap.

Cheers Howard might give it a go , its more for my lad(13)we went out last night ended up in southport normally a few on the front there was 2 bikes !!

Its been years since i went to tap it did get really busy at one time but more on a sunday i think !!!

its the Stormy Petrel, does it not get full of squaddies????!!!!

Yeh! meant Stormy Petrel ! - It is opposite an Army barracks - but last time I went pub was closed, however there were about 200 bikes in the car park, a burger van, 2 plod bikes, 1 unmarked pan, 1 plod van and a traffic car - no squaddies though!!!

The Hen & Chickens is still mad busy on any sunny Wednesday evening 300+ bikes is not unusual, and there's the Scotch Piper a few miles down the road , same sort of turn out

Near to Maghull, Liverpool. Just near to Junction 1 of the M58 (but there isn't an exit when coming from switch Island end/Liverpool)

Or there is Big D's bikers cafe at Todmorden (but no really good biking roads to get there :bang: )

No really good roads to Maghull either,(from wirral anyhow) all roads out of Maghull are good though lol. may still go for it .

We sometimes do (from leigh) the hen and chickens, then the 'scots piper' (5 mins away) then on to Southport (carousel area) and back via rufford/parbold hill and back down m6 to haydock (j23) before splitting up for home on a wednesday evening if the weather is OK.
