Pilot power, pilot race, pilot sport or pilot road? Generation 1,2,3 or 4?

I've got pilot road 3 on my bird, give loads of confidence in the wet. Can't fault them.

Bought my bike new in 2006 and it came home with a pair of Bridgestone BT56 or 57 fitted, cant remember, but I couldn't get rid of them quick enough. Since then I've had Pilot Road 2s, 3s & currently 4s can't fault any of them and each upgrade seemed to be an improvement.

Is that standard or GT Pilot road 4's? I can't see on the Michelin web site what they class as a "heavy" tourer. I'm one up with luggage.

I was advised to go for standard Road 4's over the GT's by my local tyre fitter.

Yep standards. I'm always one up with luggage as well, when I'm touring that is. Other times it's one up without luggage. 42 front and back, handling is superb.

I spoke to them at the bike show just around the launch time.

Standard tyres unless you're always 2 up and loaded.

Thanks. Will be fitting a set for the spring trip to Europe. Jerez MotoGP then 3 weeks to get home.

Metzlers! They crush Pilots in all aspects. Pilots are just plain scary the way they wear. I've used Pilots on several bikes, and they stink.
