Yes indeed hope you have a speedy recovery,i took the bird out yesterday,120 mile, took it fairly steady, apart from the straight bits But yes, them roads are as greasy as a truckers cafe,i was at a junction and an island this week waiting to pull out,and i gave her a few more revs than usual, and she spun like i was on ice, drag strip style!!And i was on a 20 year old, shaft driven, 50hp VT500!!!!

stan the man

you are not capable
just got back from the hospital....james is in good spirits, has had lots of x rays taken, scans etc etc and the situation is...his left upper arm is broken, and his left knee is a bit smashed up,so he's off to theatre tomorrow for them to sort out his knee and then he'll be in plaster for a month or two(i think).

thanks for all the good wishes, and they'll be passed on by myself or blu as soon as.........

It was on the A40 from Llandovery 1m before the turning for A482.It's right hander that rises.at the top of the rise you have to turn the bike it's then a left, down a straight on the approach to the A482 turning you know the one I mean Bill.
I've spoken to him this morning he's in pain but ok and waiting for surgery on the knee.
I didn't see it happen but he says he was doing 60-70 turned the bike and the front went the last thing he remembers was sliding down the road.

Thanks Blu

Yes I know exactly where you mean. Main road and at 60 to 70 he was not overdoing it. Hope the op on his knee goes well. Keep us posted, Bill.

Pass my regards onto Pete will you please. We havent met but I now consider him a member of my gang - 'The Off Squad', anyone else wanna join w4lc0m3 ?

Tell him while lying around in a hospital bed, and at home, to exercise as much as possible as muscle wasteage happens very quickly and any work he can do will aid his recovery.

While accidents arevery emotive, the piss taking is a defence response as well. Typing words rarely have the correct inflection and are easily misconstrued. Some are more sensitive than others. Some that have never been affected by an accident will have little real idea about what feelings are involved after an accident.

Let's not forget about or forum buddies that are still recovering from accident, whether at fault or not.

i am of that opinion as well
