More like what's the penalty for pretending to be a football team.

Maybe they've decided to help with setting the club value :)

Wow, never saw that coming. Thought we were the better side in the first half then absolute shambles second. Liverpool got all the breaks with the pinball that was going on but even allowing for that it was shambolic. Liverpool didn’t even need to play that well.

Bruno went back to his old ways, absolutely disgraceful attitude second half.

As Sir Alex always said after a defeat ‘it’s how you react in the next game that’s important’.

Your opinion on Fernandez pushing the linesman?

I honestly didn’t see it. Probably one of the many times I had covered my eyes with my hands.

Woukdnt surprise me as he was a disgrace to the shirt yesterday. Thought he had got the arm waving child like behaviour out of his system. I can forgive players having a bad game but can’t forgive bad attitude.

No doubt it’ll be on Ref Watch this morning.

Regardless of severity of the assault, my understanding is that when you put hands on an official it is straight red.
And your source for that gem is?

It was certainly unwise and as a former official I would be unimpressed but it would take more than that to get any colour card out.

Whilst it was unacceptable, it was hardly a push; the line barely moved.

It was a fairly good game and pretty even contest until United went three down. After that, they were lucky it was only seven. Imagine if Liverpool had a decent midfielder instead of Henderson, could have been 17!

I read somewhere that grass roots football were banning players for life for attacking officials, I’m sure the same article read that anybody putting hands on a match official in top level would receive an automatic red, if not the case, it should be.

Unbelievably the first seven minutes of my recording of RefWatch was blank so no idea if the malicious Bruno assault was discussed.

You pull that stunt in the game with the proper shaped ball and you're looking at a lifetime ban never mind a red card. Fucking disgraceful behaviour. And a brilliant example to the youngsters who are watching.

They are talking about miking up officials so that we can hear the discussions. Like they have done in rugby for years. We know exactly why the game has been stopped and what they are looking at. The officials then agree the course of action and we instantly know why the decision has been given. And nobody argues. But it won't happen in football because of the filth that comes out of the players mouths aimed at the referee. The game would not be broadcastable on a Sunday afternoon.

The assistant put his hand on Fernandes arm before the push and former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher said he has "mixed feelings" about the incident.

He told Sky Sports: "You don't want a player to be manhandling a match official, but I would suggest the assistant actually manhandles Fernandes more than he did.

"I think once the official does it first, Fernandes is almost like fly swatting, 'get out of my way, I want to get on with it'
.”
