Currently working out in Las Vegas,
20 of us decided to hire a load or new Harleys (mine has 2 miles on the clock!)
Headed down the strip then out to the Hoover Dam, into Arizona, then onto Route 66 into some place in the middle of no-where. (approx 240 miles)
Then back onto Route 66, into some of the twistiest roads I've ridden on, with shear drops down into the canyons below!
Through a load of towns, then into one called Needles, through California and then back up to Las Vegas via the strip.
Total just over 500 miles.
Saw one Blackbird the whole time...
The Harley I rode had everything, surround sound stereo, heated grips, cruise control etc.
Also accelerated like a dog, got blown all over the place by the wind and hlandling was something you got used to, does grind well around the bends!
No matter what you did would only do 110, 6th gear didn't really do anything.
Made me wish I'd done the same journey on the Bird, but as it was Route 66 I spose your meant to do it on a Harley.
Anyone know how to work out the size of the engine, its either 103 or 105 cubic inches.....
