What’s a traffic jam?
Well you know what jam is..? Y'now.... sweet spread usually made with fruit and generally popular on bread, especially toast (I would mention scones but that would start WW3 on here).
Now imagine cars, vans, motorcycles, trucks... maybe the odd pony and trap....all held up on the roads to the point that they can't move forward. This is often achieved by the popular local authority practice of random hole placement and serves no known purpose.

This phenomenon is known as a "traffic jam" despite the fact that no jam is used in the process.

Indeed .. Will def keep digits crossed :)
With the bike running at 2 k revs for a few minutes ideally you should see 13.8v on the battery
A real test will be to turn the bike on but not running
Put the meter on the battery and wait till the voltage drops to 12.1v
Fire the bike up and the battery voltage should go straight up to exactly 14.6 and stay there for a while without altering, then suddenly ( welll.. in a very short time from when it starts to drop ) go down to 13.8 and stay there again without fluctuation
If the BMS is as good as they say that will happen and all will be well :)

This is my latest battery
Its 3000 watts, or 250 aH at 12v
That ally plate you see with the wires going to it is the BMS

Right...

Ran the test as described above Jaws and it didn't behave as described...
Lithium
12.1v started the bike and straight away went to 13.8v and held at 13.8v not matter the revs! subjective but it sounded really sweet and really happy!(No drugs today promise!)

So did it again with the lead battery
13.6v with the bike started and 14.2v at 2k RPM sounded rougher somehow! but the voltage fluctuated a bit.

For info both batteries are new Lithium one is brand new about a week in my ownership and the lead one is this summer

Questions
Does the BMS like 13.8v maybe?
Is there a problem with the charging system?
If so likely culprit Reg/Rec or Generator

Thoughts please

Please don’t ignore me… feel like I’ve been put on the naughty step:p
LOL!!
I have only just got back on line ( had to delier me old lead acid batteries and solar controller to a chap in Kent )
Yup
Reckon your ded right ... BMS set to 13.8 v
The reason they do it ( 13.8 is actually a good float voltage ) is to extend the life of the lithium unit
Providing the charging circuit survives you got a winner !
