...WELL!...we're off to Jerez on Friday and (again!) I reckon this season is going to provide us with some brilliant racing! Ducati have added even more spice to the 800cc mix, and the riders will add the rest.

Rossi's determination to recapture his title will be challenged consistently by Pedrosa while Stoner, Capirossi, Edwards - and even troubled reigning champion Nicky Hayden - all have the motivation and the skills to emerge victorious in the most open campaign since Rossi made his dramatic switch to Yamaha. Add to the efforts of these combatants the unpredictable inputs of Melandri and Elias and you have all the ingredients necessary to make you rub your hands together before lighting the blue touch paper!

Remember: stand well clear!
