It's that time again, Honda insurance has looked after my policy for the last couple of years so with an renewal of ?255.00 excess ?250, no frill's policy so I start looking around. l4m3r Fighting talk d04l1ng


Unbelievable prices from all the 0800 numbers.Just a selection d34l


Firstly we have a change of circumstance this year with travelling abroad I will need european breakdown cover so with Honda that's another ?50.00

Imo, Insurance is a game played between consenting adults. There is no consistency in pricing it seems to me. They quote a figure they hope you will say yes to. Some do, and some don't.

The consistancy is, there isnt any. Are we selling enough motorbike policies, no... drop the price. Have we hit our quota of motorbike policies, yes..... up the price. It all a matter of risk, how much, against how many claims or acceptable level of claims. So who may be cheap this month may be expensive next month.

I do mine through the CIS (Co-op) not only because I work for them but because the price is right and the policy meet my current needs.:bang: :bang: :bang:

I got mine last year through biketeam, ?144 fully comp and protected ncd.
35 yrs old and living in deepest, darkest Falkirk.

I got a quote from H&R at the bike show last week, Even with a total loss claim last summer, which is still outstanding, Quoted me ?285 F/C with protected ncb.
H&R are not usually the cheapest for me, so a reasonable ball park figure I thought.

I've just renewed mine ....Protected NCD, garaged, 40 years old, alarm, immobiliser, etc .... through Honda...... ?324.

I tried a couple of others but living on the outskirts of London does me no favours and they were dearer than Honda.

Trying to convince them I'm a safe IAM rider didn't work either .... never mind ..... it's worth it !!

?159 bloody hell, those wankers wanted ?600 for just the Blackbird, got the Blackbird and Tiger with Esure for ?207.

Esure are in the frame for me to renew my insurance mid May.

Out of curiostiy i done some online quotes, one of which was Bennetts. First quote was ?99 TPFT on my Blackbird. An hour later i did a second online quote with Bennetts, same bike same details and it was ?180.....+?80 in an hour When i phoned for a quote it was ?124 :dunno:

i was with hastings direct & had a bandit 12 with them,they wouldn't insure a blackbird even with a top alarm & me being 41 with 6 yrs ncb,lost 6 months ncb as had to go to bennets they were 330 with protected ncb.lets all sing; "0 800 double o usless smegging twats"c7u8
