Have a bitch I HATE Blackbirds!

I don't bloody believe it! I've been exceptionally lucky and just a teensy bit responsible and NEVER got points for speeding on any of my bikes (though one Speed Awareness course :-( ). But within 8 hours of owning a bloody Super-bleeding black-bloody-bird I get done at the MFN! I knew that fooking engine torque was intoxicating but I just could stop playing... I was braking hard and got down to 48mph... but it was in a 30 zone. Dangerous and irresponsible, I know.... but bloody hell!

Anyway, just driven down to okehampton and back to get a set of Kappa luggage and mounting kit for 250 notes. Met a really top bloke (long-time bloody Super-bleeding black-bloody-bird owner) and he owns a 2008 injected Bird... and (shock-horror) says it's better than all the Carb'd versions he's owned and ridden... who'd have thunk it,. eh?

So now I'm wondering is £1600 for the bike and luggage worth the points... so come on you 4 and 20, what says you?

Badge of honour, mate.....wear it with pride. Don't tell AB though.....he'll probably ban you for being a hooliganbiker. Or just for being a biker, really.....

148 in a 30 would be a gold award, so you'll likely only get a "well done, room for improvement". :D

Brilliant post, Mitch. Gave me my first laugh of the day. At least you got to "under the 20mph above the limit" so only 3 points. 4and 20s eh! Not heard that on here before. :D

So what didn't you spot - the '30' signs, the big yellow camera or the fluorescent police car?

What bloody 30 sign? What bloody yellow camera and Cop car?
I was too busy grinning and whooping with the sheer glee of riding my new-to-me bike. ;-)
Was it the small children on the zebra crossing that alerted you?

Certainly is a badge of honour (y)

I've taken to riding at the back of the pack so their brake lights act as added warnings. :)

I have to ask what colour is it
Are we talking about the speed camera, the Cop car or my bike :p.
The first two I haven't got a clue.... my bike's BLACK. In my humble opinion that is the only suitable colour for a bike called "Blackbird"
But what do I know.... you can count my ownership time in seconds!

Actually.... it was the letter through the letter box that alerted me to the fact that I'd been nicked ;):(!
The sign came up all too quickly and I wasn't too fussy what was on the side of the road, more what was in front of me.

Apparently when a policeman asks ‘ Do you know why I have stopped you today?’

Don’t answer with ‘because I let you catch me up?’

It doesn’t go down too well

And it’s true that although the Speedo is in MPH, it really does feel like KPH !!
