But 45 years ago it was just a collection of old Triumph bits and pieces. The main event, the Lancaster bomber engine was there, along with a rigid frame and a mk2 sprung hub. Today it is gold dust and made of unobtanium, back then it was just a nail to ride and abuse.

I bought a pile of "scrap" out of the back of a closing down workshop 30 years ago and got an A10 frame, book and gearbox, a dommie frame and a TR6 rolling chassis

Sold the TR6 within days on the condition he got it built registered and used it which he did and I still see it kicking about occasionally ridden by his son,

The A10 I built up with CBR6 running gear and made engine plates to take a buyer supplied bonnie engine, that ended up as a hill climb bike and was last heard of running big knobblies and burning methanol at Red Marley

To my eternal shame I got sick of seeing the dommie frame, couldn't get a reg on it and nobody wanted it so I buried under the rockery I was making at the time  I suppose that will still be there
