Any advice appreciated chaps....What is the best stuff for getting
chain clagg and oil stains off a stone flagged driveway..I only ask as our
nice India stone slabs have numerous stains on them due to me being
an antisocial inept biker type who makes a mess everytime that I pick up
a spanner...The wifes quite correct,it looks shit and I am a complete twat..
Tried power washing to day but no joy....Please help ...:(

Cleaning? That's a woman's job. Why are you fussing over it? Seriously, I still have stains from my bikes that have been on paving slabs which are power jetted every year. Tried all sorts of grease remover and they, like bleached cockroaches, are still where they were.

I have had good success with scrubbing with white spirit followed by scrubbing with washing up liquid (to dissolve white spirit) and then hosing away.

Depends on how absorbent the paving is I suppose.

Wouldn't want to be in your shoes.....:argue:

Whatever you try test it on an area out of sight up a corner or something before you go full bore at it where any problems can be seen ...............

Brick acid will shift it but may eat well into the paving hence the above advice
Harpic max & a scrubbing brush the same as above
Gunk or similar may improve a light stain but if its deep in the paving I doubt it will shift it all
A bottle or two of cheap coke may fizz it away with a scrub & wont damage a thing

If all else fails sand blast the fecker then buy a tarpaulin to put down the next time you fancy getting dirty

Years ago I used to be an Autosmart Franchisee and I would suggest G101 which is a strong degreasing multi surface cleaner. I used to dem it by squirting it on the floor or a sh*t hole garage and scrubbing with a standard scrubbing brush. Use a bucket of clean water and wipe away the dirt. If you have a hose or pressure washer even better.

I still have some and use it on the car and bike. Its great from getting bug squash off the front and chain lube off the back wheel.

You don't use it neat as it works best diluted with water.

Autosmart themselves are selling the stuff on Fleabay for £25 delivered, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Official...337871?hash=item23a05d814f:g:oSIAAOSw~RFa8cEF

If you know of or see an Autosmart lorry in your area they may well do you a deal. (They carry it on board)

BTW if you want to clean upholstery I would suggest Autosmart's Low Foam Brisk brings up your cloth seats a treat and for polish, bike or car Mirror Image.

Finally for any cynics who think I am on commission I am not and I dislike Autosmart with a £10k vengeance which is what they cost me. However I do rate their products highly.

I made a sticky messy concoction with washing powder and fairy liquid

I mixed it all up with a saucepan full of cat litter stuff.
Sort of troweled it on the stains and left it for two days.
When I jet wasted it ther was no sign of any stain

Only trouble is you, end up with a clean spot. Then you have to do the whole feckin' driveway.

Best bet is to paint over the whole lot. ;)
