I've just bought a Gerbing jacket liner - wired it all up and plugged it in while in the garage - I nearly BBQ'd myself - bloody hell, it gets hot! :lol:

Hi Blu
What make / price?
The parts that I find a bit on the cool side are my feet and knees. The Hein Gericke heated grips do the biz for the old didgets.

For those of you who are into a bit of wiring and tinkering, if you get hold of the following you can convert your own jacket to heated, as I have;

33' of 6 ohm/metre resistance wire
a pair of pull apart waterproof conectors, and/or switch
inline fuse

Mine works a treat and cost me ?20 to do.

Do you find your fingers/ toes warmer as a result? My heated grips are fine for the palms, not so great for the back of the hands. A warm torso should keep your pinkies warm too.

Hi guys,

I bought a kit of US e-bay very similar to the one in your link but it was quite a bit cheeper.
This is the company, don't know if they still list on e-bay, but you should be able to buy direct from them

I tried to get the wire over here, but couldnt soarce any (it needs to be multicore and insulated) the rest of the kit is fairly straight forward. I first used an inline lamp switch, but recently got hold of a much neater Klan switch.

It does work a treat though, we've both done quite a lot of riding this winter in single figure temperatures without any discomfort at all.
