heated grips

FYI, if anyone is thinking of buying heated grips, I have used Oxford ones for many years on many different bikes through each of their revisions. Now I have used Datatool ones they are far superior at only a few quid more. Controller bulit into the left grip is an infinately variable rheostat, not a bulky seperate unit which is ugly and has 5 discrete heat levels. They are wired simply into the battery but still turn off automatically with the ignition and finally the pattern of heat wires on the grips is better than the Oxford ones.

I suggest considering them

Any pics of them fitted please. Would be interested to see what they're like on the length.
My oxfords are pretty worn & have been considering changing them.

I just fitted the R&G grips to the bird, I had a set previously on my CBR 600 for 2 years and I found them great.

Pretty good value too at ?48 yoyo's from fleabay @tu*

Have had many type's of Heated Grips over the years including Factory Fitted ones,Without doubt the Datatool one's are the best I have ever had,The heating is very good and the fitting simple only thing to watch is that the Switch is not in-line with indicator switch making it awkward to turn on indicator's.

Did you have to cut them down at all to fit the Bird? Tried (and failed) to fit some BikeTek ones, left grip got stuck 3/4 on and wouldn't budge, had to cut them off scrapping the LH one so am after a replacement set....
