Dark Angel
Still kickin' it!
...These are hard times for Valentino ? and even harder times for his followers.
Over the years, we?ve become used to watching him winning but, remote from the once-accepted ?norm?, racing fans also understand the very real evolution of ?the sporting life? in a way that may yet remain beyond Rossi?s comprehension. :dunno:
We know, from observation, how time marches on ? while time seems not always to have been the most important element for Rossi; rather, his adversaries were the ones to be beaten: beat them; dominate them away from the track and use the clock as a spur to confirm your superiority. (At other times, I'm convinced, he chose not to compete against the clock in qualifying because he knew he had already beaten his rivals on the psychological battlefield.) I suppose it all depends how your priorities are arranged.
We recognise our champions; we see and applaud them at their best; we revere them as they reach the pinnacle of their achievements; and we remember them forever but, still; time marches on and, unfortunately, for the moment at least, time is marching faster than Rossi can ride the Ducati.
...Hard times indeed.
......But...
... the season has only just begun... :-:
... and when the going gets TOUGH... b0x1
