?78.50p  and this is gonna be every 5 years!! FFS!! :bang: I'm sure it only cost about ?30 quid the last time!! :dunno:
no wonder pensioners don't want medicals to retain their car driving licences if it's going to cost a similar amount!!

Cost per kilo Ian

Went for mine a while back, was told it was going to be ?78, this was not long after spending time in Hospital on all sorts of gadgets to moniter everything my body did....

Anyway, Dr took 10 mins to tell me I was alive and I walked out, forgot to stop at reception, and never heard another word about it..........result. :yo:

Will it be the same next time, dunno but I aim to try....

Ian, if you went to that place at Kinsley you probably could have just walked out & forgotten to pay, if it's the same guy that gave me the questionaire I think he was on day release from the village.

dunno the cost Rob, but I do know you have to go through each class rather than in "T"old days when over 21 and had a car licence you could go direct to class 1, :dunno: I belive "though stand to be corrected" new drivers even have to take further tests to drive the likes of Trannies etc!! (the vans)

To do the course each test would come somewhere between ?500 and ?1000, depending on how intensive the course is..

A lot of money for little reward or respect........... :violin:

Its a fookin insult. Total rip off, no help from that skanking bastid blair at all. If all the wagons stopped moving he might change his mind and help out a bit.

Just got me new digi tacho card, another fookin rip off. Fortunately Inntimid@te logistics have paid for it. But if it stops workin, gets lost the rest of the cost is down to me, including the renewel of the bloody thing. The crap government want us to have this new tech, but dont mind us funding it. Tossers. I hate fookin lorry driving, its the crapest lowest of the low job going. Anybody thinking about doing it, then dont. As codders said, a lot of outlay for very little reward.

Never mind, got me off road instructors course tommorow, and if that project comes off, then the road haulage industry can go and fook itself :bang:

15 quid a year for something that benefits you and the public. Not bad value that.
