Just shot down to the local ( newly opened 2 weeks ago ! ) Sommerfields.. They knew nowt about it at all.. Manager foned up and person he spoke to also had no info..

Just have to watch what happens..

Ian, according to the Garmin site it is expandable ( which I was quite surprised at to be honest ! )

I'll give it a go. The way the distribution etc works and with the new owners being a pain:bang: , I don't hold out huge hopesh1d1ng2 , but will certainly ask the Buyer the question. Will ask about the second card too. :neenaw:

Compared to the Quest they are fairly low tech but for a ?100 I can do low tech no problem !
It is small, has a base map of all of the Eu with enough info to get me where I need to go, AND even has parts or Russia and Africa..

I only want it as a bonus one for in the car.. the Quest will now stay permanently on the bike..


Big up to Ed for finding one for me and arranging the purchase !

Make sure you get one with version 8 maps, as Garmin have also been supplying older version 7 maps with the i3 at the same time and price - and Garmin have bee misinforming people about future (possible?) free upgrades... The packaging will state which version of map is installed (small print).

Only found out about this after getting a version 7 i3 and then reading articles on Pocket GPS World forum.

Kwik Save have also been seen selling i3's for ?99.....
