The server rental is a monthly thing, but the forum software licence is paid yearly..
Yesterday the licence ran out but I renewed it today

Yup, it has already been a year since we got up and running on the new server and forum software !

If it was £15 then it went to Bikers Oracle
If it was £5.50 then it was this one
We had a false start on another server in March last year... that server ad software crashed and burned but all the subs were still maintained ok

I started keeping a full record only January this year.. I did not realise that Zenforo had no easy way to keep tabs like the old VBul had

All I can say Minkey, is that you have been a member of BIRD since June 11th 2002, and you have not paid anything this year...
So if you have still not had a request to renew by December, then it is due !

We have 51 paid up members.
£5.50 each is £280 - .39p (paypal fee )x 51 = £260.11
The licence is £45 a year
The server, inc regular backups and band width is £18 per month ( £216 pa )

It does not help the state of the £/$ rate at the moment..

As things stand at the moment, for all the grief etc I still pay about a quid for the privilege

And there are a few who have not renewed his year but have been replaced by new members...

I was hoping it would at least get by initial investment back this year, but being only about £300 out of pocket is small beans knowing that no one can come in and fiddle about without our say so !

If there's no auto renewal how are you dealing with renewing membership...?
I can't remember exactly when I paid but it must be due by now...

A lot of folk opted out of the auto renewal thing.. I am just going to have to accept a loss if the subs do not run out this year. But as I have records myself from December it is no biggy mate...
Those that did not allow auto renewal will revert back to read only and will have to click on the 'upgrade account' button when it happens

It was £5.50 so that's me sorted for twelve months then.
