Household Energy bills could rise to £6000 per annum by next January.
Government fuckwits are allocating a measly £400 per household in an attempt to blunt the financial stress...Bollocks!
I bet non of these feckin so called refugees starve or freeze to death this winter.
Meanwhile back at the ranch.
I'd rather turn the gas and leccy off than give in to these extortionate prices.
Fook em all

I may have got it wrong but I think the price cap limits the cost per unit, the more you use the more you pay there's no upper limit. What I don't understand is why the standing cost has gone up so much. its all a big con

Same here with standing charge.
RIP OFF.

If it’s a fixed price for a set period, then yes. It’s a legally binding contract.

I'm with Octopus on a fix until June 2023 and I'm dreading how much it is going to go up a friend told me her monthly payment went up from £65 to £126 a month I've just purchased some oil and it had gone up £200

Just remembering a guy I used to know, ex engineer, he had a Rayburn & plumbed his central heating to it, he used to go into the woods opposite his house & collect fallen branches, he’d then chop them up on his home made bench saw made from an old Bedford engine, he always had a shed full of fuel, his gas bill was zero.

It is OAP's that really worry me.
A single OAP gets just £8000 PA.
I can see a lot of heart ache in the coming months

I do wish to goodness the media would stop with the bullshit meaningless blurb re prices
Average Joe needs to know what unit prices are rising to ( at least an average unit price )
For most, the touted 'PRICE CAP' is meaningless

Biggest bugbear and unwarranted hike is the standing charges
Twice in recent days reps from energy companies have been put on the spot to explain and neither could give a direct answer
I was shouting at the telly.. the answer is simple and a single word.. PROFITEERING

Wood, one of the few fuels that warms you twice
Once when cutting and again when burning
