I had the T21 when the Yamaha 100cc came out.
Would beat me off the traffic lights every time.

DA, I’ll get it out of the garage tomorrow & send you pics, if you want it £135 + postage unless you can collect, I can make you a brew & bacon sarnie & still keep to social distancing.

Regarding the CZ175, it had an oil tank on the side & the oil was supplied via a fly wheel somehow attached to the throttle so the faster you went the more oil pumped in, the guy I bought it off didn’t tell me why he’d disconnected it, I filled the tank with oil which promptly deposited itself over in-laws brand new crazy paving, I replaced the seal & tried again, I was wringing the bollocks off it on York road & got pulled by the Police & got a warning for polluting the atmosphere.

Busy lad! (y)

Nowt wrong wit brakes... 'Supwiyya?! :D

I used to ride all year in all weathers & hated being stuck with the 70-30% split or whatever it is honda lumped us with, its ok sometimes for me but completely wrong in some conditions/circumstances, I like brakes to be predictable & they are not when linked in my opinion

Anything that takes control away from the rider gets a big thumbs down from me as riding is about skill not being mollycoddled by pointless crap that is only ok sometimes

rant over :D

Not bad. All of the above

Bar risers = vfr bars
satnav mount = home made
Panniers, Top box and Rack = home made rack & scaffolding so I could fit the V35s
Upgraded lights/indicators (rear)/rear cluster = headlight went to HID but now have LED's (High, dip & position) LED rear. R indicators changed for panniers.
Fork legs "tidied up" = 2nd hand last winter (couldn't believe how good they are)
(Maybe's: Suspension upgrade front & rear, ride height spacer) = 6mm spacer (hence Avon XM tyre almost on floor while on centre stand) Fork spring kit

Then

Because of above - 1/4" plate under side stand
Rear hangers powder coated black to make them disappear
Hugger
Fender extender
Mirror extenders
Bar ends
Frame plugs
And I had the badges made for the panniers

Now what you can't see, that I can remember;

Radguard
Inj downpipes.
Braided oil lines (while doing the pipes)
Secondary fuse box (to tidy up the accessory wiring)
USB socket under the seat
LED's in the clocks

Not bad for ten years of tinkering!

Yup I think it all depends on your riding style, I found them acceptable 50% of the time pottering around town & such like but out on the open road when making progress or in poor conditions I thought they were more dangerous than any sort of assistance, had the same feeling with the last cbr 1000 I had as well so they are not for me

Love Marmite though :D

Yeah. I did mine not long ago. Once they're done they barely need any further attention - bonkers!

Hugger
Fender extender
Bar ends
Frame plugs
I should have remembered these - got the same on mine, and I especially like the badges on the boxes - nice one!

No worries. I used to rant exactly the same way about traction control, rider control settings, ABS, anti-wheelie control, launch control...
Never used any of 'em and probably never will.

Always trusted the linked brakes on the 'Bird, though, especially when touring fully-loaded.

As they say: it's a-all down to personal preference! :p (y)

It does make me wonder how some of the newer riders would get on if all that stuff was taken away from them ! very badly in anything but perfect conditions is my best guess !

Absolutely. They grow up the stuff, so are willing to trust it implicitly in a way that maybe you and I could never do!

I've followed people on track and watched how they can just "whack" the throttle to the stop mid-corner and disappear into the distance on corner exit - then I'll catch them up on the brakes...

It's frustrating, but I've only been to "High-side City" once and I don't really need to re-visit...

Yea - but it looks like you made up for lost time, well and proper. (y):p
Forgot to mention any maintenance, Mastaaaaaah. Well, that's easy cos I don't do much as I'm pretty useless at that sort of thing, but, lemme see, I have done a couple of bits.......

I added Fuel silencers onto my second 'Bird, which was pretty straightforward.

On this 'Bird, I added the leads to the battery for the optimiser. I followed the instructions and taped up various ends, connected and disconnected in the stipulated order and stuff. It went without incident but the instructions made me feel like I was defusing a fookin' bomb.

Not a bad list of work for 11 bikes  :D
