Film Recommendation: The World's Fastest Indian

Watched this flick last night - one of the best I've seen in a long while and it's bike related..........Anthony Hopkins is superb as Burt Munro, it's based on a true story.........the guy gets a 1920 Indian to BlackBird beating speeds on a shoestring budget.

You'll love it.........feel good movie.

This one does seem to be getting lots of praise... I'm going to try and see it soon.

Oh and I thought I might have a go at getting a blackbird to do 1920 Indian speeds.... what would I need to change?

I watched it a few days ago on VCD on my computer...(quite a good quality telesynch). As you say Sam, its a very good feelgood movie... You will love Hopkins portrayal of Burt Munro... One of those characters that everyone likes... I especailly loved the bit where he met the hotel receptionist(nudge, nudge), and the old lady who lives alone and knows how to strip old cars....

Yup !!! Heartily recommend this movie...5/5

Cheers,

Rolfy

ps... Its amazing his record (set in 1967) is still standing. Litterally all his own work :bow:
