Is anybody on the forum still interested in this type of photography, and still using this type of camera?

I have a Chinon Genesis III APS camera, auto/manual zoom, auto/manual focus, auto this, auto that etc. 35 - 110 mm lens, Macro facility etc. It's one of those that you can hold with one hand as it has a strap on the side that you slip yer hand under. I can't at present find the user manual but I know it's in this house somewhere...

I can't remember exactly what it cost but I know it was about ?300??

Perfect working order, immaculate condition, in Black Leather carry case.

?25 If anybody interested give me a shout, + Postage.

It is so sad to see this sort of thing.. Must say that is an absolute bargain..
A couple of years ago I sold a Asahi Pentax SLR with a 28mm fish eye, the standard 50mm, a 125 TO 400MM zoom, and a 600mm tele for just ?80.00

The fish eye was originally more than that !

an amazing deal. I've managed to resist the temptation to go digital, but have all the film stuff I need.

Perfect kit for new starter or student though:bow:

Forgot.. I also sold off my entire dark room for ?30 !!
That included two Durst enlargers, exposure calculaters ( basically light meters ! ), countless dishes, dryers, clips tanks, ( even a tank for 8mm cin film ! ) ..

Oh and a bit of useless info for anyone still going it for themselves :p
You can load a film in a tank using a fag as a light source.. It was not until I had finished loading one in that I realised what I had done, but there was no fogging detectable at all :p

Ok.. anyone else remember all the fun and games that you had loading up a 36 exposer 35mm if the tank spiral was not spotless !
I even bought a posh one with ball bearing in the feed to try and get round it..
Then I found rinsing with a drop of pure water and drying with a hair dryer just before loading made life nice and easy !

I think what really sealed the fate of the "film" camera was Kodak announcing to all and sundry they would no longer be making film !!! even though other manufacturers would continue!! :dunno:

Was that because Telly savalas died? I thought they had recently made a film with a black guy in the lead role.

No Problem Baz - email me yer address and I'll get it sent off to you mate. I guess postage wll be about two quid.

The only problem is I still haven't found the user manual yet. I'm sure I have it somewhere but if it doesn't show up is that gonna cause big prob's for your mates daughter?
