I've had an idea , why not give me a rebate this year for a change and I too can purchase a new Hayabusa and watch it rust before my very eyes. PS if you are good friends with the VAT man , ask him can he see his way clear to allowing me to claim the VAT back on all outgoings bird related as a legitimate business expense.

Sorry for the rant , wrong time , wrong place maybe but Ive got my Vat return for the last quarter plus my contribution (2nd) towards next years tax bill due in july and to top it all this years tax return to contend with

I've just had to cough up ?500 to the Inland Revenue from when i was self employed, they messed up some dates and i've been trying to sort it for ages, they are crap.

Anyway, i'm ?500 lighter in my account but then i guess i did owe it.

The NI people are also WANK*RS . They have been sending me random bills for the last 10 years , I pay my NI contributions by direct debit so if they aren't taking enough thats their problem, they also take a big chunk off me at the end of each tax year and to top it off they recently sent me a bill for ?806 relating to 1999 , which , after a nasty phone call, they decided to write off as it wouldn't conrtibute to my final value at retirement. The sadest bit of that is they sent a bill in Jan for ?369 and I paid it , should have told them to F*CK off like I did with the ?806

If there was a demand for conservatories abroad in tax havens I would emigrate , but it's only the british who seem to want them

I don't think we should be having a go at the tax people :t they are after all just doing their jobs same as the rest of us, I've always been pleasant to them and treated them "the individuals" with respect and have been rewarded with the same people going out of their way to help me!! :bow:
a lot of peoples troubles begin they try and be clever and "play" them at their own game!! or out and out try to fiddle it!!
as Coggy says it's the f*cking government that gives them the orders!! knowing that the tax man will head "the blame" for poor decisions and un workable systems that penalise the small businessman and self employed!! :dunno:
