we had this interview yesterday for a skip driver.

us " morning whats your name please???"

driver " smith"

us "first name "

driver "errrrrmmmm .......robert"

us " ok robert have you driven skips before???"

driver " errrr yes"

us " are you working at the moment and what pay do you get"

driver " yes i am working get ?7p/h .... what are you paying??"

us " we are paying ?8.80p/h"

driver "?8.80p/h.... you wont get many drivers for that , i am earning ?7 p/h noway am i taking a pay cut, ?8.80p/h is not good.......goodbye"

and he got up and left.


my boss did the only thing we could do, sat there for a few minutes and then said go get the next one in.

we have done 15 interviews, so far we have thick feckers, barrow boys complete in teddy boy coat, uni degree in gaelic, master cook, ex head of herts traffic cop who plays golf off 1, some bloke whos wife has fits and he wants to kill her most of the time (his words) and 2 or 3 for second interview.
