The (standard) carb Bird apparently gets a few extra mpg over the FI, sorry don't know more than that. FWIW my '99 FI gets 39 mpg.

Dear Dr. Savage,
your above post has been brought to the attention of the League for Anti Regional Fish Sexism. ( LARFS for short )
It would be appreciated if refence to the female mamary glands of fish was henceforth terminated.

Who cares anyway???

Eh Murt

Your calculators needs new batteries - 10 lts is 2.64 gals and that gives 41.6 mpg - but as I said who cares.

Must be that sarsparella affecting your performance!

Murts right!!!

I think Quincey's looked up the litres per US Gallon (US Gall is less than our Imperial Gallon)

Our Imperial Gall is 4.54 litres so 10L is about 2.2 UK galls,

which, as Murt says, is 50 MPG.

Best I've ever managed is 45 MPG but normally 40ish - I'm a bit of a rubber ripper - hell why else buy a Bird !! :} :} :} :}

Oooops...

Like I said who cares!

Still beats the hell out of my old Suzuki GT380. I could get that down to low 20's when pushed hard!
