Presumably mark Halsey has or is just about to have a new book out.

The only time I have ever seen what looked like blatant spot fixing was the 1975 fa cup final where the second kick of the ball saw it launched almost out of the ground within about five seconds

Wasn't there something once about someone eating a pie?
Maybe not match fixing but it was something to do with betting.

That was a non league or lower league goalkeeper, it is alleged he’d made a bet that he’d be on tv eating a pie, I think it was more of a joke but the fa took it seriously

Hmm, a (alleged) referee trying to put up a smokescreen just as the whole corrupt World of refereeing is about to be blown apart.

When I had a look for background info on this I found it originates from ten years ago when he was launching his book.

It seems he's suspended from twitter?

I also found criticism of him for being biased in favour of Leeds!

:)

He worked as a Policeman, my daughter’s ex boyfriend knew him, Halsey was linesman at Man U v Leeds & he admitted to his mates that he gave a couple of dubious offsides & throw ins in favour of Leeds, makes a change to have a match official on Leeds side.

The more I research this the more evidence of corruption disguised as incompetence I find such as attempts to get Newcastle relegated, ex Premier league ref Steve Bennett causing Olympiacos b refusing to leave the dressing room for the second half of a Match. Tip of the iceberg.
